OHS convention: 2010
2008-11-02 - Identified through on-line information from Paul Marchesano. -- Organ built originally for previous residence, same owner (John and Mary Flinn Lawrence) and moved to the current location when it was built 1927-29. The organ was in storage for two years while the house was completed. Organ has original 115-note player with rolls. When installed in the current location, large pneumatics were installed in the basement chambers to pull open wooden wall panels via ropes and pulleys, thereby allowing the sound to exit from tone chutes. The main chamber and Echo speak into opposite corners of the room. The Harp speaks though a set of swell shutters and through a grate in the floor. -Database Manager
