2008-11-03 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This little demo organ was created by Wesley Spore, a member of the Pipe organ Foundation Board, utilizing a used windchest in Pipe Organ Foundation stock, along with a modified, used keyboard, and pipes which the POF had acquired from a conglomerate organ in Seattle. The pipes are 2' Principal facade pipes with Roman mouths from a Welte player organ that had come used from Dresden Germany to grace the house of Seattle fine arts patron Charles Frye. After his passing, the organ was broken-up for parts and mostly used in organs here and there by Balcom and Vaughan. The Demo organ was assembled for a special anniversary event at the Frye Art Museum - but they ultimately decided not to include it. So it resides at the Dodrill residence. -Database Manager
