Notes

2008-11-07 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Acquired from Salisbury Presbyterian Church in 2007. The organ was removed by St. Joseph parishioners under the supervision of Bradley Rule, who subsequently restored the organ and installed it in Sevierville in 2008. The organ is free-standing and encased in the rear gallery with a 3-sectional facade of 15 gold-painted pipes arranged: 5-5-5. The organ was blessed at a ceremony open to the public beginning at 10:30 a.m on April 19, 2008 - and featuring several area organists. 2009-01-01 - Additional notes received via e-mail from Bradley Rule: -- "For now, the organ lacks a Swell Oboe, though the toeboard is there and functional. We have a 19th century Oboe proposed for installation once the church comes up with the necessary funds. The move to Salisbury Pres entailed the loss of the original wind system, so the organ now plays off one huge schwimmer. The work at the B. Rule shop included Chest retabling and restoration, pipe repairs, and key action rebuild." -Database Manager
