Notes

2008-11-22 - There is only scant information about a Hutchings organ in the church. One letter from Orla D. Allen (dated 1919) implies the Hutchings was a rebuild and electrification of the 1890 Roosevelt Op. 466. Another source gives the stoplist of a much larger instrument than the Roosevelt, but implies the action was still tubular-pneumatic when it was removed. The remains of the Roosevelt chest (in the cellar of Temple Mishkan-Israel) show typical construction with no electrification detectable. Surviving pipework (some also in the cellar and some in the attic of the Temple) seems to match the stoplist of the original Roosevelt installation, not the stoplist of the Hutchings described in the second document. -Database Manager
