Notes
2009-01-07 - Identified through on-line information from Monty Bennett. -- Originally built by the Cortese company of Florida, the organ was formerly located in Calvary Church, Charlotte, NC at their former Sardis Rd. sanctuary (now Central Church of God). Central Church sold the organ and Knowlton rebuilt and enlarged the instrument for Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. This instrument is located in the former sanctuary of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3301 Beatties Ford Rd., directly across the street from the current facility at 3400 Beatties Ford Rd., that houses the five-manual Ruffatti organ. The former sanctuary is used as a chapel for small services, weddings, funerals, Bible Studies, and other miscellaneous services. -Database Manager
