2023-03-19 - The organ is installed free-standing in the right-rear corner of the room. The facade is plain: the Principal basses (with forced-length to make them long enough to cover the interior mechanisms), form a chromatic pipe fence on the nave-facing side. The Dulciana basses, with forced length (6 longest are the same length, next six are the same length, slightly shorter), form the left, choir-seating facing side. The choir seating is in the center of the along the rear wall in front of a large window, and the console is located in front of the choir, facing the altar. The 1963 Positiv is installed higher up the right side wall, immediately in front of the main case and perpendicular to it, on a chromatic chest. When I was organist there mid-70s, the Positiv was beginning to lean forward away from the wall. I have not been in the church since, but would hope the division's attachment to the side wall has been reinforced or suspended from the ceiling with chains. -Scot Huntington
