2021-05-04 - From Joe Granger via Facebook: "The sad unfortunate end to Möller 10277. A series of miscommunication... or total lack thereof led to this. The demo contractor told us to come salvage whatever we wanted. 4 of my colleagues from other firms were en route with crew and trays to get pipework for other projects. I arrived two hours before thank goodness before anyone had started driving too far. That information was not relayed to the asbestos crew last week when they came through and... did this. Only two of the 50 ranks remained in tact, the rest was in a heap, mashed up or stepped on. They were under the impression the entire organ was going into the dumpster so no care was taken. The general contractor profusely apologized for the situation several times, and sometimes these things just happen. The 32' bombarde bottom two octaves, although severely banana-ed, was still there so I set about trying to get them out, but the crew with the dumpster arrived halfway through my endeavors, so.... This is all that is left that will survive. The reed motors of the 32' and a few trichter regal pipes. The bombarde was actually not a half bad sound and new resonators needed to be made anyways." -Paul R. Marchesano
