2022-11-17 - Being a quarter-mile from the levee, the campus sustained over $400 million in damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005 as the grounds became an enormous lake; the chapel was the only building not in 'the lake,' but it sustained around $4 million in water damage to the interior due to hurricane damage to the roof; the organ may have been a casualty. -Jeff Scofield
