2009-02-07 - Identified through information posted to OHS Members list by Will Scarboro February 7, 2009: -- I got an e-mail through my municipal organ website from an individual who informed me that the 1919 Möller organ of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Evansville, Indiana is extant. This organ was originally built for the Coliseum that was built for the Methodist Centenary at the state fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio (opus 2626 4 manuals 98 stops). The Methodists, according to the contract, had the option of purchasing the organ after the celebrations concluded, but did not opt to do so; so the organ ended up in Evansville. Möller rebuilt the organ in 1932 adding a roll player (opus 6059). -Database Manager

2013-09-03 - Updated through online information from John Igoe. -- Article in the Columbus, Indiana Republic on 9/1/2013 states the organ is being removed to storage, with hopes that it can be installed in the University Neu Chapel at a future date. -Database Manager
