2009-02-18 - Identified through online information from Richard C Greene. -- The organ was originally built for The Fontbonne College Chapel in St Louis, Missouri, a school run by the Sisters of St Joseph, in 1925. In 1967 it was traded in and sold to the Wicks Sales Director in Minneapolis. He rebuilt the organ adding new magnets, new ranks, combination action and blower, not using parts of Wicks manufacture, and installed it here. In 2003, the Obermeyer Organ Co supplied new relays and combination action. -Database Manager

2014-12-17 - Updated through online information from Joel S. Kumro. -- The long history of the OLOP church-s Wicks organ.<br>I received information on this organ from several sources. There were discrepancies between the stories but I knew if I could contact John Sperling, Tonal Director Emeritus of Wicks Organ Co, all would be revealed unto us. I was right. As soon as he returned from Florida, Mr. Sperling gave me the whole story, chapter and verse. The story includes mention of several well-known organ technicians from the Twin Cities.
