2009-03-16 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Listed on the Willcox opus list as published in the Boston Organ Club Newsletter (Sept.-Dec. 1979). According to a 1/14/09 PIPORG-L post by Philip T.D. Cooper (whose father was the Assistant here in the 1940s) the organ was electrified in 1937. Who did the work and where the console came from is not known. It may have been from Skinner, Opus 338 (1921), which was originally built for the Boulevard Theatre in Baltimore. The electrified Willcox was replaced by a new Holtkamp in 1959. Subsequent disposition of the Willcox is unknown. -Database Manager
