Notes

2009-04-01 - Identified through on-line information from The Rev. Mark McGuire. -- The organ was installed by the Temple Organ Co of St. Joseph, MO. At the time of installation a 4' Rohr Schalmei was traded out for a celeste rank to go with the Gemshorn. In March 2009, John H. Hendriksen, North Pembroke, MA, completely revoiced the entire organ. The existing metal 16'Rohrbourdon was made into the bass for the 8' Principal. A previously owned wooden 16'Bourdon was placed on a 12-note chest at the side of the self-contained organ. The organ is at floor level to the right of the altar rail (as you face the altar. The 12-note Bourdon offset chest was releather by Isabelle Hendriksen, wife of John and former Aeolian-Skinner employee. The organ has a distinctive Aeolian-Skinner quality about it. Mr. Hendriksen's work was excellent. Even the non-musical members of the congregation remark about the beauty of the sound. -Database Manager
