2017-05-04 - Updated by Steven Bartley, naming this as the source of information: Baltimore Sun Paper Aug 15, 1908 pg7, Misc google images,1st Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Present congregation is "1st Mt. Calvary Baptist" Google internet photos, of the present building shows a period Moller facade with three flats of pipes, divided by small
turrets of pipes. The organ is in an alcove behind the choir/pulpit. Originally had a keydesk in the lower center of the facade's woodwork.
Sun paper article says the organ cost slightly more than $2,000, that Carnegie provided $1,000, its dimensions 24' wide x 24' tall x 6' deep. The article goes on to say that the organ committee had been interested in purchasing an organ from a local Baltimore firm, but the financial package offered by Moller was too good to pass up. This is the first time this statement has been mentioned, and may be the reason the several established Baltimore Organ builders closed shop, and several moved to Philadelphia. Moller had the financial means to provide churches loans to purchase their organs. -Database Manager
