2017-11-24 - Updated by Steve Bartley, who maintains the organ.
This writer maintained the organ in the 1990s. In the 1920s, a renovation of the pulpit area took place, creating two elevated chambers (right/left). Moller was hired to carry out the renovation of the organ, placing the pipes on EP chests in the standard Moller duplex configuration and wedged into one chamber. In the 1990s, the church hired Lewis & Hitchcock to modernize the console but not the other mechanisms.
It is said that in the 2000s the church purchased a Rodgers organ. The new electronic may have been connected to the Moller. The pipe work was in good condition, and much could easily have been re-used in a new configuration. -Database Manager
