2009-04-30 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was the removal, rebuilding, and reinstallation of the 1968 Balcom and Vaughan Pipe Organs, Inc. instrument originally built for First Presbyterian in Bellevue, Washington. Original Kilgen-style E-P unit chests and pipework have been retained. The only register not retained was the original quint component for a Pedal Mixture. A 2-2/3' Quinte has been added as a new stop to the Great. The Enclosed Great 8' Erzahler Celeste is prepared-for as is the Swell 1-3/5' Tierce. Installation was begun in 2008 and completed in March 2009. A new Syndyne combination action and relay replaced all former electro-mechanical components. The organ was consecrated in worship this past Sunday - April 26, 2009. The Dedicatory Recital will be played by Joseph Adam of St. James' R.C. Cathedral in Seattle on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. -Database Manager
2010-03-15 - Updated through online information from Sean M. Haley. -- Revisions to Mr. Stettner's comments. The Gt. 2 2/3' is comprised of pipes from the original derived pedal mixture. The Gt. Mixture was always IV ranks and is the original composition from the original installation. The Gt. Zimbelstern is new with this installation. The Sw. 1 3/5' tierce is now installed and no longer prepared for. The 16' Posaune are the original full length pipes from the former "Bassoon" drawing the rest of the stop from the 8' Trompette instead of the Hautbois as it was originally. The musical result is far more successful as a unit Posaune/Trompette than a Bassoon/Hautbois. -Database Manager

When they built a new sanctuary and got a new Casavant, the old church became a chapel. later, the chapel was converted for other uses and the pipe organ was sold. It was removed, rebuilt with tonal changes, converted to solid state, and reinstalled at Our Saviour's Lutheran in Stanwoood, Washington by the Marceau firm of Portland, Oregon. The stop rail with stopkeys is new, replacing the original rocker tablet format. Several original couplers were omitted from the "new" organ. And the original Pedal Mixture was removed from the stop- list. The Great 2-2/3' Quinte is a new stop to this instrument. The 16' Posaune extension is also new - replacing a former 16' Bassoon that had been at 16'/4' in the Swell and borrowed to the Pedal. The organ was dedicated in worship on Sunday, April 26, 2009 with five former organists participating. The Dedicatory Recital was given by Mr. Joseph Adam of St. James' R.C. Cathedral in Seattle, Washington on March 17, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. [Received on line from James R. Stettner May 01, 2009.]
