Notes

2009-05-03 - Identified through online information from Stephen Hall. -- Organ is currently undergoing renovation by Wicks (information from Wicks website, accessed 5-1-09, and neworleanschurches.com accessed 5-2-09) According to the church website, the present sanctuary was opened in 1998; it is not clear if the organ was moved from the previous building or from another location. -Database Manager

2009-06-26 - Updated through online information from DAN TALBOT. -- The church purchased the instrument from an individual who had it in their home. The original organ was 7 ranks, without a 8' Principal. This was added before being installed in the temporary building. When the new building was built, the organ was moved and installed in 1 of the 2 chambers provided by the architect. Some additions were made by Wicks at this time. Acoustics in the all concrete building are fantastic and it sounded wonderful. The organ from [an Episcopal church that was closing in New Orleans] was purchased and a new stoplist developed. The slider chests from the second organ have been very unreliable since they got wet at some point. The church has been talking about keeping all the pipes and changing the chests that have not worked since they were installed. Because of the room, the organ sounds wonderful in the location. -Database Manager
