Notes

2009-05-12 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was housed behind an asymmetrical facade at the front of the church. The console stops were rocking tablets on angled, terraced jambs. The organ was removed in 2000 by Ruffatti and shipped back to Padua, Italy to be rebuilt for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, Missouri where it was reinstalled with a new Rodgers console in 2003. Disposition of the original Ruffatti console is unknown. -Database Manager

2013-05-10 - Updated through online information from Scott Crowell. -- A 3-manual, 47-rank Noack tracker organ was installed in 2000 (Opus 137). -Database Manager

2021-10-30 - From the October 1966 issue of THE DIAPASON: "St. Paul Methodist Church, Louisville, Ky. has contracted with Fratelli Ruffatti, Padua, Italy for a three-manual organ of 55 ranks and 40 stops. The new instrument will be installed in the present organ chambers after structural changes have been made to expose the chambers and improve the acoustics of the chancel area. Pipes of the pedal 16 ft. principal and 8 ft. octave lind the great 8 ft. principal will form the facade of the new installation, and an antiphonal fanfare trompette will be built in the gallery. A movable console will be placed in the chancel area. " -Jeff Scofield
