2009-06-08 - Identified through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- The original 1759 Thomas Johnston organ, rebuilt and altered by Goodrich in 1821, was rebuilt and altered by Hutchings in 1884; the Schlicker rebuild reversed the Hutchings changes and added new pipework; the Johnston case was retained, with some of its pipes made to speak again. Replaced in 1991 by A. David Moore in the same case. -Database Manager

Boston, Massachusetts Christ Episcopal (Old North) Church Schlicker 2/32 1958 The organ was rebuilt and enlarged by Schlicker; the flue pipes were supplied with new languids to remove all the 1884 nicking. Mechanical action was revised and retained in the manuals and electro-pneumatic action operated the Pedal; however, the manuals were coupled to the pedal by mechanical action. The stop action was electro-pneumatic; all chests were rebuilt.
