2022-01-21 - The organ department at The Hartt School closed in 2015, when the Gress-Miles main studio organ in Fuller 21 was sold to a church in Babylon, NY and the studio repurposed as a general-use classroom. Scott Lamlein began teaching an organ for pianists class in January of 2022, Foundations of Organ Performance, providing at least some semblance of organ instruction at this conservtory. The organ was found to be in reasonable condition, needing a tuning and some minor repairs. -Scott Lamlein
