2024-03-10 - From Joe Houley who was the organist here for many years: Brief history of Presentation pipe organ: The small pipe organ, a tracker was deconstructed, "divided" and given a more modern electro/pneumatic action by Laws ... The quality of the work was quite sub-par, an unfortunate characteristic of this fellow named Laws. The pastor refused to complete the payments and the man sued. This was the situation when I first assisted there in 1971. The new pastor fought the suit but was advised to settle. A fellow from CT was engaged to tune and get into a useful state. However, it was not mechanically reliable. The time between service calls grew smaller and I would have to limp things along. In 1988-9 I was unable to secure an organist to play for my own wedding. The pastor decided to replace it with a Rodgers. It was there until the parish was closed. After that time, it suffered vandalism during a youthful break-in. -Andrew Scanlon
