2015-11-01 - Updated through online information from Paqul Fleming. -- John Lanford was manager for many years. He mentioned that that during the war years ( WW2) the organ was removed and sent to the local dump so they could cover the orchestra pit and add some more seats. The war years were very good for business Jong said. He also managed the Strand, the other theatre in town, which ran the 1st run movies. Originally OGDNESBURG had also the Bijou and the Opera house which had an organ, it burnt in the 1920's. It has an auditorium but never had an organ. -Database Manager
