2020-10-07 - From *Catoctin Clarion*, Mechanicsville, MD. (Thurmont) 1/11/1917. Lengthy article about the organ, and dedicatory concert. Organ installed by Ed South, of Moller; voiced by Claud Carty; assisted by Charles Spaulding. Specifications drawn up by W. B. Stottlemyer of Waynesboro, PA. Case work by Wilhide & Creeger, of Thurmont. Two manuals. Electro-pneumatic action. "Modern arrangement" of stops: Rocker tablets above top manual. All pipes in an expression box. Adjustable combination action, which moves the knobs. Console is detached, about 10 feet in front of main organ and 35 feet from Swell. Audsley-Willis pedal clavier. Kinetic blowing apparatus, with electric motor and generator. The Swell and Great boxes are of cement. The Great is on the right side of pulpit area, the Swell on left. -Steven Bartley
