2024-09-25 - Poli's New Theatre in New Haven CT (now demolished) boasted a Möller Organ...Poli's Theatre was one of the largest vaudeville / movie house theatres in the country in the early decades of the Twentieth Century. I hope that the organ was removed prior to demolition! But what has become of it? My research about Poli's Theatre derives from the fact that during the years that American composer Charles Ives was completing his degree at Yale University (1894–1898) he went to Poli's (we don't know how frequently!) and "spelled" the pianist who accompanied the silent films. -- Email from Dr Donna Coleman, 2024-09-21 -Paul R.
