2017-03-01 - Updated by William Webber <br>This historic downtown Baptist congregation and building are in really sad shape. I met with the pastor today who informed me that the organ "got wet" and "doesn't play any more" for some time now. It is a beautiful classic Moller installation. The pastor says there are about 20 people in the congregation now. The sanctuary probably seats 300. The architecture is of the old protestant gothic downtown tradition. It is a shame to let this beautiful edifice and grand pipe organ fall into such disrepair. -Database Manager
