2009-09-25 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was relocated to a church in Peoria, Illinois, ca. 1975; they essentially discarded the organ. Portions of it were acquired by Deane R. Hutchison of Portland, Oregon, for a home teaching instrument. That organ later became the basis for the organ at Immanuel Lutheran in Portland, Oregon. -Database Manager
2011-06-12 - Updated through online information from Ronald Crowl. -- Kimball Hall became DePaul University when Kimball moved their operations to Melrose Park, a suburb. The recital organ was sold to the First United Methodist Church in Peoria and relocated there in 1957. The organ took up the entire space originally allotted for the old Hinners organ and choir seats - the console and new choir pews were located in the balcony adjacent to the large, grilled chamber area. The organ was installed and finished by Kimball technicians, though the pipe organ department had closed during World War II. While Dr. D. Deane Hutchinson saved the console and some ranks, much of the organ was destroyed. -Database Manager
