2021-05-07 - 2016, 12-pipe extension to the Pedal Bombarde. Those 12 pipes have half-length resonators and are originally from Casavant opus 2729 (Calvary Episcopal, also in Pittsburgh). It was installed by Peter Luley. So the 32' Contre Bombarde is no longer prepared-for. The chimes are the only thing that remains from the 1900 rebuild of the church's original 1888 Wm. Johnson organ by Austin. The casework (still in use) and the drive wheel from the original water motor (now on display with other historical artifacts in the building) is all that remains from the Wm. Johnson organ (which was op. 697). -Nicholas Sharer
