2013-05-27 - Updated through online information from steven bartley. -- Opus 2376 was a reconstruction by Moller of their opus 906. The church had been at Gilmor street and Riggs ave from 1908 to 1921 when they moved to 2300 Lafayette ave. The old building was not immediately sold. The new organ was slightly larger than the 1908 instrument, but this may have been due to extra couplers and unit stops afforded by the electric action. The large stone building which was to have been built on Lafayette Ave. was never constructed, and the overly large instrument was placed in a large chamber, left side of the chancel. In the 1980s a 5 rank unit Wicks was installed in the chamber and the 1923 Moller broken up for parts. -Database Manager
