2016-11-24 - Updated through online information from Tom Nichols. <br>According to the Friday, March 6, 1931 edition of THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR, this organ's dedication recital was performed by Pietro Yon, who was at that time organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. The original 8' reed on the Great was a Harmonic Tuba, as still marked on its stopkey. A Trumpet rank was substituted in the 1960s. The Chimes actually have 21 tubes, not 20, sounding from A to f2. The Pedal 16' Violone and 8' Cello are an extension and borrow from the Great 8' Gamba, not a separate rank. The Pedal 8' Bass Flute is an extension of the Pedal 16' Bourdon, not the Open Diapason. -Database Manager
