2012-02-03 - Updated through online information from Randall Newman. -- I was made aware of this organ when it was listed for sale on Ebay in the fall of 2004 by the First Church of God in Christ (current owners of the building). When I visited in Jan of 2005, it had obviously not been played or playable for many years and was in very poor condition. Parts had been vandalized and due to broken windows in the chambers, birds had made a mess and many pipes were severely damaged. In the fall of 2006 the church notified me of their plans to scrap the organ to make room to install central A/C in the building using the pipe chambers for the equipment. At that point I made an offer to purchase some of the salvageable ranks from the organ. The rest is presumed to have been scrapped. -Database Manager
