Notes

2009-10-31 - Identified through information in List of More than 5200 Moller Pipe Organs (Hagerstown, Maryland. M. P. Möller, 1928). -Database Manager

2023-01-13 - Church appears in 1923-1924 Detroit City Directory at 2900 East Grand Boulevard. Apparently the church moved [new building?] and acquired this organ in 1926. Console is currently [2023] disconnected and the organ does not play. Pipework and chests appear in unaltered and good condition. [information from visit by Roman Lizak] -Paul R. Marchesano

2023-01-16 - The congregation started out as Marantha Baptist Tabernacle located at 2900 East Grand Boulevard. Sometime in the mid 1920's, the congregation moved to their present location at 13500 Dexter Avenue. There they changed the name to Dexter Boulevard Baptist Church (later Dexter Avenue Baptist). A good guess is that once they moved to the present location, they purchased the organ. -Roman Lizak

2023-02-01 - This instrument was contracted on January 5th, 1926 for $3,500 to be completed on June 15th, 1926 or as soon as possible thereafter. Instrument was formally dedicated on September 12th, 1926 -Roman Lizak
