2010-02-11 - Identified through on-line information from Kip Said. -- The organ was acquired in 1964 from the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, NY as a gift from the (then) Pastor, the Rev. Mr. Marcy Punnett. It was the only pipe organ in the hamlet at the time. Both the church and organ sustained significant damage from flooding caused by Hurricane Agnes in June 1972, with approximately 5 feet of water in the church for several days. After the flood, the organ and church were renovated although the organ was not the same as it had been pre-flood. The organ continued in service until at least 1985. It was replaced by an electronic/digital instrument sometime between 1986 and 1988. -Database Manager
