2020-06-15 - Formerly High Park Ave. Methodist Church, it became High Park Avenue United Church in 1925. It was located on High Park Avenue at the intersection with Annette Street; formerly High Park Avenue Methodist Church, which in turn was formerly Annette Street Methodist Church (located at Annette Street and High Park Avenue), and originally West Toronto Junction Methodist Mission (located at Quebec Avenue and Annette Street). In 1926, Victoria United Church (also in the High Park area) amalgamated with High Park Avenue United Church. In 1970, High Park Avenue United Church united with Alhambra Avenue United Church to form High Park-Alhambra United Church in the High Park building. High Park-Alhambra United Church, Toronto, was established in 1970 upon the union of High Park Avenue United Church and Alhambra Avenue United Church. The congregation used the High Park Avenue building which was located at 260 High Park Avenue, at the corner of High Park Avenue and Annette Street. The congregation closed in 1996. The buildings have now been converted in The Sanctuary Residence at 260 High Park. -Jeff Scofield
