Notes

2010-04-21 - Identified through online information from Chad Boorsma. -- The organ was originally built by Casavant in 1933 for Christ Church Episcopal in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. It was moved to the Cathedral in 1957, rebuilt by White Organ Company in 1967, and then rebuilt again in 1997 by Fowler Organ Company. The console is built in the style of the French 19th century builders and is low in profile to allow the organist to direct the choir from the bench. Keyboard naturals are of sitka spruce and the sharps polished rosewood. The pedal keys are hard maple with rosewood sharps. The console drawknobs are of turned rosewood. -Database Manager
