2010-06-20 - Identified through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- The specification describes the project as the rebuilding and installation of the A. J. Fisher Memorial Organ, with new pipework and parts; the organ and console were renovated by Casavant in 1968. Seminary closed in 1988; reopened by diocese in 2000 as The Inn at St. John's Golf and Conference Center; the chapel is used for weddings and the organ is there, though a photo shows that it was evidently rebuilt with exposed pipework. -Database Manager

2021-12-01 - The organ shown in the photos is not Opus 2233: It is the former chapel organ from Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Detroit, built by Casavant, I believe in the 1920s. It was rebuilt by Casavant with exposed pipework and an altered stoplist and erected in the north transpet of the cathedral in the late 1960s or very early 1970s. In anticipation of the new Austin chancel organ in the cathedral, the diocese moved it to St. John's. -William M. Worden
