2010-07-16 - Identified through online information from Chad Boorsma. -- According to the church bulletin (May 19, 1950), the "Schantz organ was selected not because of the quantity of organ offered for the amount of money the committee had to spend, but rather for the quality of tone and fine workmanship so clearly evidenced in the instruments previously built by this firm." An organ dedication program took place on Thursday, August 24, 1950, with Mr. John Schantz at the console. In 2006, Schantz renovated the organ by installing new leather and valves. Don Haan removed the chests and reinstalled them in the chambers. -Database Manager
