2012-04-11 - Updated through online information from Kristina Powers. -- Also saw the Wicks back in 1997 at a wedding and noticed the organ was replaced in 2006. Several parishioners notified me that the Wicks had fallen into serious disrepair and was replaced. Also read in commemorative parish directory that pastor Fr. Wayne Prist was responsible for replacing the organ, the predecessor of which "had fallen into serious disrepair." -Database Manager
2013-01-15 - Updated through online information from Paul Dessau. -- info about this organ is at the builder's website at http://www.berghausorgan.com/instr_new/queen/queen_after.html, it reads "Queen of All Saints, Chicago, IL 2006 The organ at the Basilica was designed to replace the failing 1930s vintage Wicks. As a part of the project, organ chambers were reduced in size, and main chests of the great were cantilevered out to allow for better tonal egress. An impressive 14-rank Ruckpositiv division was added to help fill this challenging acoustic. The console is constructed in the French-terraced style." -Database Manager
