Notes

2010-08-07 - Identified through online information from Chad Boorsma. -- The organ was originally built by Hillgreen, Lane, & Company in 1905. The company expanded the organ in 1908 and 1913, and the action was changed to electro-pneumatic in 1929. This work was a complete rebuild of the organ, retaining only the pipes. The cost of the project was $45,000. The Great, Swell, Choir, and Pedal divisions are located behind the decorative grillework at the front of the room. The chimes are located above the ceiling. The Echo division is in a downstairs chamber and speaks through grates in the floor and also through grillework in the downstairs foyer. -Database Manager

2014-07-29 - The building was sold in 2013 to Cornerstone United Methodist Church who uses the facility as a second location (first location is in Caledonia, Michigan). First CCS now meets in St. Cecilia's Music Building. The organ was sold to a private party with plans to be installed as a home organ somewhere in Michigan. -Database Manager
