2016-02-03 - This two-manual-and-pedal unit organ was installed in the chapel of the Convent of the Sacred Heart School. Located at the rear of the chapel, the organ was enclosed in one expression box and has an attached console. In 2006, the organ was sold by The Organ Clearing House to Dodington & Dodington, a Canadian organbuilding firm which specializes in restoration and relocation of Casavant organs. -Database Manager

2017-09-19 - The Convent of the Sacred Heart, the oldest independent all-girls school in Manhattan, is a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart schools, a Roman Catholic institution founded in 1881. Since 1934, Sacred Heart School has occupied two adjacent mansions on East 91st Street which face Andrew Carnegie's 1902 mansion across the street (now the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum of the Smithsonian Institution). -Database Manager
