2013-06-13 - Identified through online information from Steven Bartley. -- The Schwab in question was built for St. Alphonsus RC church Saratoga St and Park Ave. <br>In the early days of this church some newspaper and other reports mistakenly called it Immaculate Conceptions. In 1851 Immaculate Conception RC church was dedicated, at Ross and Mosher streets. Details in Sun paper (Dec 22, 1851 pg 1) mention a small Henry Berger organ. In Sun paper (Jan 25, 1867;pg. 2) the concert for a new organ, at Immaculate Conception, was delayed as the new organ had not been completed. Local organist Jim Houston states that he helped remove this organ, in the 1970s, prior to the building being demolished, He says it was an 1866 Hall & Labagh organ. -Database Manager
