2011-02-10 - Identified through online information from Peter Gonciarz. -- Even though the builder plate on the console says "Wicks Organ Co", I do not really consider this a Wicks organ per se. I consider this a rebuild of the Felgemaker Organ op 675 installed in 1890. This organ was of course originally a tracker with the console attached to the case. In 1956 Wicks simply rebuilt the organ, converting it to electric action, adding a detached console, and adding just a few ranks. Wicks also enclosed the entire instrument. In the specifications below, I mention the ranks I believe to be original or added. I do not believe that much re-voicing or tonal alterations were done to the original ranks. The added ranks blend with the rest of the instrument. The tone of any of this instrument does not reflect any period instrument of this time. In other words this instrument is far from a Neo-Baroque organ, but an instrument from 1890. This is a 2 manual, 19 rank instrument. -Database Manager
