2016-11-23 - Fourth manual and Solo division added 1914-1915 by Karn-Morris Piano Co., Woodstock ON, with a unique Echo division that transmitted the tone from the Swell by way of ductwork up and over the ceiling to the dome area; it was controlled by aeparate expression pedal when the Swell's pedal was closed. Rebuilt by Casavant 1949-51, at which time the facade pipe stenciling was painted over a blue color. The organ pipes were covered by a screen in 1961 and the Knoch Organ Co. made tonal changes; tonal revisions again in 1980. In 1995, Casavant renovated the console. The sanctuary seats nearly 1,400 people and the congregation is reputed to be the largest United Church congregation west of Toronto. -Database Manager
