2011-05-03 - Identified through on-line information from Stephen Hall. -- Organ was originally a residence organ in the William Luden home, the Luden mansion is now part of Reading Central Catholic High School campus (1939). The church donated the organ to Christ Lutheran in the mid-1960's in exchange for repairing the floor where it was removed. Original installation was in the basement with tonal chutes opening on either side of staircase, present church installation has visible pipes, presumed upper work added. -Database Manager
2011-05-08 - Updated through on-line information from Stephen Hall. -- Nameplate states "1923 Welte Philharmonic Unit Pipe Organ, Rebuit and Electric Action by Henry N.[? middle initial difficult to read] Hunsicker, Reading PA 1980." The console appears to have the Austin style stop key tabs. Mr. Hunsicker directed the members of the congregation in the move in 1960, and then apparently rebuilt and enlarged in in 1980. -Database Manager
