2011-06-22 - Identified through on-line information from Ronald Crowl. -- This large rural example of a Kimball tubular-pneumatic organ had adjustable combination action - 3 pistons for Swell and 3 for Great, the "setting" accomplished by means of "adjustable knobs" above the stop terraces, using the "trip-shoe" method as outlined in Stainer's work "The Organ." The Trumpet rank disappeared in the 1950s and was replaced with a 4' Principal of unknown origin. The Swell contains a rare example of a two-rank Celeste of thin scale, unusual for Kimball during this period. The organ's casework is large and imposing and the sound of the organ was bright and clear and filled the space admirably. -Database Manager
