2014-09-20 - Updated through online information from John Overton. -- The original 1902 Casavant organ was electrified in 1955, specifically with an electro-pneumatic system/console, including combinations. The number of speaking pipes remained unchanged, though some pipes were slightly altered.
Since 1955:

The blower has been moved from the cellar to its present place in the Great+Swell+Pedal Division to the left of the High Altar. Some damage seems to been done in the move.

The console was moved from the 1955 left-hand side to its present right-hand side behind the choir-stalls during chancel alterations in the 1990's.

The back case of the console was built in by the raised wood floor during the 90's alterations, making it very difficult to do repair work on the console.

During the 1980s and 1990s pipes were removed and/or exchanged.

During the latter part of the 20th century many pipes were damaged.

The past 14 years (2000-2014) some incomplete ranks have been disconnected, and more pipes have been removed and/or damaged/destroyed, and, some say, stolen.

The organ was inspected by Casavant at the turn of the millenium. A 4-stage Casavant tender to restore the organ to working playable condition (no expansion, no re-voicing etc) was declined by the Parish.

As of 2014 - effectively no real work has been done on the instrument for the past 10 years and the instrument has not been tuned for at least 7 years (given the state of the organ, tuning was not considered worth its cost.)

The organ blower makes so much wheezing noise and plays so unexpectedly 'on its own' that the instrument is longer reliable as a musical instrument. The blower is now (2014) in such a deteriorated state, that it is effectively now no longer reparable.

-- Both the Swell and Choir manuals have full 61-note keys but G2-C3 lack any connection to sounding pipes. Top pedal notes F, F# and G lack connection to speaking stops. In reality, therefore, the Pedalboard has a 30-note compass. -Database Manager
