Notes

2011-11-23 - The church building is now home to Cornerstone Community Church, which comprises the former Presbyterian and Methodist congregations. Two passages from the online history of the Presbyterian church mention the organ: "Around 1950 the current pipe organ (unknown manufacture) was purchased used and installed by Edward F. Collins. Two additional stops were added during its installation." "New organ chimes were added in 1962 when the organ was moved to its present center position." Without further evidence, and based on comments received via e-mail from a former parishioner, it appears that "when the organ was moved" refers to the console, not to the organ itself. A note in the old PC Database indicates the current case is that of the original E. & G.G. Hook installed in 1870. It is supposition only, but the two ranks added in 1950 could also have been from the Hook. -Database Manager
