Notes

2012-04-22 - The organ was modified in the 1960's by George Price and Bill Mollema. New pipes were added (1962) and a new console built by Reisner was installed (1968). Some of the new pipework came from the organ in Stetson Chapel at Kalamazoo College, and other pipes came from a practice organ in the basement at Kanley Chapel. Further work was completed in 1993 by Lauck Pipe Organ Company. The chests were releathered, the relay system was replaced, tonal changes were made, and the console received new combination action. -Database Manager

2012-04-22 - Dr. Elwyn Carter, head of the University's music department, collaborated with the Kilgen staff in the design of the organ, and negotiations were handled by the Detroit branch of the Kilgen Company. The instrument was dedicated on April 22, 1951, with H. Glenn Henderson at the console. -Database Manager
