2012-05-23 - Identified through online information from William Dunklin. -- 2nd Congregational was formed in the middle 19th century. Their current building was erected in 1899. They got a new Hutchings organ in 1909. A post-1907 postcard shows an organ which may have come from their previous building. The heading on the postcard says "The Old Organ, 2nd Congregational Church, Winsted, Conn." The organ has stops in vertical jambs on each side of the manuals. The casework is full height, rounded arches and heroic scaled moldings at the top. 2nd Congregational has changed its name to Church of Christ (Baptist and Congregational) and they still have their Hutchings organ. -Database Manager
