2018-07-23 - Updated by Robert Zanca, who has heard or played the organ. Additionally, Robert Zanca listed this website as a source of information: http://bigeloworgans.com/opus/11-stop-list. <br>The Bigelow website indicates that there is only one stop in the pedal (Subbass), and that there is no manual Trumpet, same being replaced by Dulcian (narrow-scale string, in position on chest originally prepared for a reed). This has been confirmed by examination of the organ and discussion with one of the Abbey organists on 07/21/2018. The stop action employs Bigelow\'s \"Either/Or\" system. The knobs slide horizontally; the left position draws the stop on Manual I, the right position draws the stop on Manual II, and the center position retires the stop from both manuals. The evolution of this system is described in detail at the Bigelow website. -Database Manager
