2012-06-17 - Identified through online information from Jeff Scofield. -- This was a console-only job contracted via Fred A. Gibson, Sr., Houston, Texas, for an organ that was originally installed in 1950 as 3/56 Möller Op. 8122 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Chattanooga, Tennessee; it was relocated to Williams Memorial in 1985. -Database Manager
2024-12-21 - Identified through online information from G. Mark Caldwell. -- Updated by G. Mark Caldwell, the builder. I worked for the instrument's curator in Oklahoma City, OK. As installed, the instrument had elevated box bases that contained the exposed Great and Pedal pipes located on either side of the chancel arch in the transepts. The Swell and Choir divisions were in boxes on a shelf located above and behind the chancel, with the Trompette en Chamade located on the edge of this shelf. In work done circa 2000, the Great/Pedal pipes were moved from the box bases and moved up onto that shelf between the boxes. The Swell and Choir divisions were put into a long room behind the choir loft, and tone openings punched through the brick wall, and the swell shades modified to cover these openings. The Great Principal chorus and smaller Pedal pipes were placed exposed on the shelf, and the larger Pedal, Great flute and Violone pipes moved into the old swell enclosures. Access to the elevated shelf portion is up a ladder through the swell chamber downstairs. No tonal changes, save for the addition of digital Pedal stops prepared for on the replacement console. -Jeff Scofield
