2023-09-07 - The 1917 Hillgreen & Lane, Op. 512 console needed replacing. On 27 April 1949, a new Schantz organ console was ordered of medium oak color. The Schantz console was a roll top, stop key type with electro-pneumatic "set and hold" stop action. This console existed until Hillgreen & Lane Op. 1224 was installed in 1960. Again, pipes from the 1898 organ were reused and moved around in the Op. 512, with some new pipework added! -Bob Alcock
